Felix settles down, but still takes loss

Not even Felix Hernandez could prevent the Mariners from a 4-0 loss to the Twins, as the right-hander allowed three runs in the first inning and didn't receive any support from the offense.

Mariners finish July with 6-22 record – Sat, 31 Jul 2010 PST

MINNEOLIS Kevin Slowey pitched eight sparkling innings, Joe Mauer had three hits and the Minnesota Twins beat the Seattle Mariners 4-0 on Saturday night for their seventh consecutive win. Seattle has lost six straight and its 6-22 record for July matched the franchise record for losses in a month, set by the 1977 expansion team in August.

Slowey, Mauer lead Twins over Mariners
